It has been estimated that in the order of 50% of buildings fail their first Airtightness test when designed and constructed without due consideration to Airtightness. The education of the design and construction teams is paramount in improving the pass rate. One effective method to achieve this is for on-site seminars to be carried out for the construction team - including their sub-contractors e.g. cladding and roofing installers. Build Check carry out such seminars and strongly recommend that a training programme is allowed for on each project.
