Continuity of Insulation Inspections

Part L of the building Regulations states that the building fabric should be constructed to a reasonable quality so that the insulation is reasonably continuous over the whole building envelope. For example) to ensure there are no thermal bridges caused by gaps in the insulation and around windows and door openings.

Although the regulations allow for self-declaration, Thermography certification is a more quantifiable and approved means of compliance.

When the building is complete (but before hand-over) Thermographic survey testing is carried out in accordance with BRE Report 176 or BS EN 13187: 1999

The results are available immediately and a report produced in 5 working days.

All Build Check Thermography engineers are a minimum of ITC level 1 certified.

Other applications

Thermography is also used to identify an extensive range of other defects including: Air leakage paths through the building envelope areas of damp or water ingress e.g. leaking roofs.
